Studiare a Pistoia/Study in Pistoia
The Study in Pistoia project offers the student various opportunities for direct contact with Pistoia’s pre-school education programme.
Pistoia’s extensive network of nursery and kindergarten schools, established more than twenty years ago, has become the focus of the international community’s interest.
Every year many Italian and foreign visitors interested in closer observation of our programmes visit the nurseries, kindergartens and Areebambini.
Pistoia’s schools are run directly by the town council: there are 9 nurseries for children aged from 3 months to 3 years; 16 kindergartens for children from 3 to 6 years; 4 areebambini. The latter are designed for meeting and interaction, play and experiment, with many workshops for specific types of activity.
Pistoia has a wealth of knowledge and experience about children and families available for those working in the sector and wishing to deepen their knowledge of educational and organisational techniques or those who plan to work in the education sector.

There are four types of Study in Pistoia courses:
internship of one to six months with weekly or daily attendance in the various schools
three-month training and planning courses, with fortnightly meetings
intensive courses of 3-7 days
one-day thematic courses
Enrolment in a course allows the student access to the education department facilities: computers, audio library, library.
Participants also receive a documentary record.

Telephone, fax or e-mail the Education Department and ask for the enrolment form for the course in question, fill in and return.
